A short history
Rocky Mountain Metals was established as a Custom and Contract Hollow Metal supplier on December 21,1988 in Raton New Mexico by Mike Walton, Robert G Walton and Robert G Walton II. Soon after Rocky Mountain Metals, Inc. was established Robert G Walton sold his shares to William Butt and Colleen Grogan.
In 1995 Gary Walton acquired the shares of William Butt, and Colleen Grogan after the death of William Butt.
In April 1997, HB Investments became partners with Mike Walton and Robert G Walton II by the acquisition of Gary Walton.s shares. Through this step the customer base was broadened considerably as relationships were established with a large distributor in the southwest area and the sales focus changed from direct to distribution based trade.
In September 2007, the company was acquired by Zia Holdings Inc, a Nevada Corporation. Zia.s ambition is to further broaden the customer base, add management capacity and invest in people, procedures and equipment to make Rocky Mountain Metals Inc. into one of the leading Custom Hollow Metal Companies in the Country.
